har-low~, statement necklaces!

nude+black is always a good combo, feminine but w/ an edge.
i imagine moss green/khaki green + nude would be an interesting experiment too..

i'm a fan of nicole richie's house of harlow 1960 collection, and i've been eyeing the necklace above for at least half a year now i think. sadly, as much as i'm in love w/ the leather-paneled version, i'm far from being able to afford it.

hence, i'm tempted to buy my first, run of the mill "inspired" necklaces (ie. IMITATIONNN! i mean c'mon, they're the exact same thing!!) here for the affordable price of SGD$13.90 (it's the lowest i found so far compared to a ridiculous SGD$25 elsewhere).

bf says it looks cheap though (i'm not sure if he meant the authentic one or the rip-off one..), so i'm having second thoughts, until i saw THIS. my reasoning is: if it's good enough to be seen on a locally-recognized street fashion blog, it's good enough to be seen on me.

HOW? D: & i was thinking i could get away w/ just a wee bit of black this cny too!

byebye bags!

recently i've been unable to get my fill on shoes, so this post will be about my top two picks for this month.

this, is one of them: the adrian tassel loafer by doc martens in faded suede.

i'm also quite intrigued by the car shoe store at ion orchard, however i feel that since doc martens typically hv a thicker sole (therefore more height), there must be more support for my poor broad, flat feet as well. i honestly can't decide between the above and the gorgeous teal one though.. the suede makes me rethink getting this though.

this brings us to another pair of doc martens: an adorable pair of mint green boots*! sadly i'm unable to find a photo of it on the website for some reason, plus i was told by the salesgirl at one of the shoe stores at the concorde hotel shopping arcade that it came in just about a week ago? whatever, i'm sure they can be found at every "direct-from-factory" shoe outlet now, plus they come in a soft lavender and pastel pink for those who are more in touch w/ their feminine side!another find at the shopping arcade was madame h's handcrafted shoes. i had a chat w/ the very pleasant salesperson (the owner, i think? i didn't clarify as i was on the way to an interview). the label's from bangkok, and they had to close one of their branches there recently due to the red shirts' rioting. anyway, shoes. what could be cuter than tuxedo shoes! here's the best pic of them i could rip off the internet (ie. their facebook page).

*UPDATE: found out they were the 1460 8-eye boots. click on the colors to view!

cny is just six days away!

and i've yet to get anything (apart from a hat, but i wouldn't say i got that exclusively for cny..)!! i've finally decided on an ideal outfit, plus i've got the shoes (or rather, clogs) and skinny vintage belt to match, but argh where am i supposed to get a nude/khaki colored maxi dress! i was hoping uniqlo would still have the ombre one, but apparently it's out of season.. ):

i would also very much like an cny-ish element, and since red's a bit too "in-your-face", and i'm not too keen on gold either (ooh maybe for my nails? but fuck they're short ]:), so i guess ima hv to go w/ bunnies (not like i'm against that anyways). besides i do need to personalize my new hat a wee bit, so what better than a bunny brooch? i guess ima hv to make one last-min though, most likely from felt..

daiso, here i come! -_-
